DAY 2 - Governmental Auditing and Internal Control Update-Virtual

Day two of the conference will focus on all the things related to governmental auditing. We will start with a review of the 2024 Yellow Book and related changes. We will also review the AICPA quality management standards. Then we will tackle the changes to the Uniform Guidance issued in 2024 impacting audits this year and next! Peer reviewers continue to find issues with documentation of internal controls and internal control tests so we will review the differences between ICFR and ICOC and related documentation and testing. After lunch we will look at recent government fraud schemes including an update from the 2024 ACFE Report to the Nation. We will close the day with common deficiencies found in New Mexico Single Audits and how to fix them!
