WRINM is seeking a Volunteer Board Treasurer with prior experience in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Finance or is a CPA. Provides Financial Oversight and maintains legal compliance with all required government sites such as NM-COROS and SOS.
• Promote good banking practices
• Train and Supervise the Bookkeeper
• Maintains communication with the WRINM CPA as needed
• Oversee bank accounts- Deposits and Withdrawals, balances, deposits
• Assists in preparing an annual budget
• Meets with the board monthly and present monthly and annual financial reports
• Prepare Audits
• May be asked to provide advice on Investments and Fundraising
• May assist with Grant RFP’s as requested
• Process payroll bi-weekly in QuickBooks, including payroll reporting or delegate and supervise.
• Monitor, record, reconcile and update financial activity and accounting records in QuickBooks
• Pay invoices and process purchasing and reimbursement requests or delegate and supervise.
• Reconcile petty cash and record donations
• Monitor monthly auto-pay for bills
• Coordinate tax reporting processes with the WRINM CPA
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with local, state and federal requirements, and standard accounting and audit procedures

Requirements:
Background check, maintain accounting Errors and Omissions liability Insurance, make candid representations about plans and expectations, process payroll transactions expeditiously in accordance with a bi-weekly payroll schedule

WRINM is a non-profit wildlife rescue organization. The Board are all voluntary. Paid staff fluctuate seasonally with few or no employees from October to April each year and up to 10 paid staff May-September.
