Albuquerque Film & Music Experience (AFMX) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering New Mexico filmmakers, musicians, and students. Celebrating over a decade of service, AFMX provides invaluable opportunities for education, networking, and creative expression. The organization’s mission is to support emerging artists and students in realizing their artistic and educational aspirations. Through its initiatives, AFMX fosters a thriving creative community in New Mexico.
This is a volunteer, local/remote role for a Board Treasurer at Albuquerque Film & Music Experience (AFMX). The Board Treasurer will oversee financial management responsibilities, including reviewing financial statements, monitoring the organization’s fiscal health, and collaborating with the executive team on budgeting. Additionally, the Treasurer will ensure accurate financial records, assist in financial planning, and provide guidance in accounting practices to support the organization's mission and goals.
Qualifications
• Strong knowledge and experience in Financial Statements and Accounting
• Proficiency in Financial Planning and Budgeting
• Understanding of general Finance principles and practices
• Experience in nonprofit financial management is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of AFMX
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
